The Neo arrival

A new member of the Welcome team

This is Neo, our new golden retriever puppy. In his first week, he has charmed guests with lots of cuddles and 'kisses', falling asleep on several laps. We are hoping he will be an asset to our well-being and the life of Treargel, though our slippers are not faring so well at the moment!

Do let us know if you are allergic or prefer not to be near dogs, I didn't until last week.

Resting in his presence

I am really enjoying the Sacred Space app on my phone at the moment. Helping me, as I eat my breakfast, to rest in his presence and put the stressful stuff into perspective. Sacred Space is an app and website written by 2 Jesuits guiding people all around the world since 1999.

Here is an example:

Presence

Dear Jesus, I come to you today longing for your presence.

I desire to love you as You love me.

May nothing ever separate me from You.

Freedom

I need to close out the noise, to rise above the noise. The noise that interrupts, that separates. The noise that isolates.

I need to listen to God again.

Consciousness

Where to I sense hope. encouragement, growth areas, in my life? By looking back over the last few months, I may be able to see which activities and occasions have produced rich fruit. If I do notice such areas, I will determine to give those areas both time and space in the future.

What helps you rest in His presence each day? Share in the comments below or on our Facebook page.

Treargel, the home of retreat

Our March quiet day is all about retreating, a subject close to my heart obviously. It will be great to spend some time looking at how Jesus went up to pray, God promised to 'go with them and give them rest' and how Mary sat at Jesus' feet listening.

If you know anyone that may be interested, do pass this on. Wednesday 11th March. To book, click here.

We are also really looking forward to our April 23rd quiet day entitled 'Wild God' led by Sara and Barney Barron. Hoping the rain will have stopped by then so we can get out into our woods and gardens and experience the wild for ourselves.

Talking of wild, if you are interested we will be doing some Gardening Parties around the end of March. Let us know if you want dates.

Thank you again for reading and do get in touch with any comments or tips of your own.

Cheers

Naomi
