What has Treargel meant to you?

Celebrating together
As you know, we are closing on the 22nd of September. These will be our last few weeks of guests, unless someone buys the place to run as a retreat (do you know anyone?) It's been a busy couple of months, and both wonderful and heartbreaking as we welcome people who are now good friends, and then say our final goodbyes when they leave.
As I prepare to wrap up this exciting part of our journey, I've been pondering Treargel and all that it's been to various people over the last decade. As guests have taken time out to make difficult decisions, grieved loved ones, and simply rested from busy, frantic lives. If I could buy a Star Trek transporter, I would invite you all to a massive BBQ, where we could reminisce; talk, sing, and dance together. Sadly, this is impossible. So, I wonder if you can help me? I know from our visitor books that Treargel has been a special place to many. It would be great to collate some of these memories and share them. If you have any comments, stories, or photos of what Treargel has meant to you, I would be so grateful if you could send them in and allow me to share them.
This way we can celebrate together.

The joys of communal silence
Despite getting ready to move, we continue to follow the weekly rhythm of meditation that has been established here for years. Recently, four of us sat in the Grove for half an hour of Stillness and Silence. Here is my short reflection.
The wind alternately rushes through the trees like a toddler on a tricycle, then pauses, as still as a rabbit desperately hoping Neo and I will move on. A large buzzard sweeps through the Chestnut branches in front of me, frightening off the chattering chaffinches and robins. Numerous insects murmur and buzz around our heads. Neo snuffles around; lays down, snaps at insects, and searches for cuddles.
All a bit like the thoughts flittering around my head, during our so-called Stillness and Silence.

Don't forget, we'd love to know what Treargel has meant to you over the years.
