Brave souls!

An intrepid 16 souls braved a dreadful weather forecast and a 5.30am start to join our first Treargel Dawn Chorus. The birds were less enthusiastic about things, however the rain held off and we heard and saw: chaffinches, blackbirds, sparrows, goldfinches, crows, common gulls, collared doves, blue tits, wood pigeon, great black backed gulls, skylarks, blackcaps, pied wagtails, robins, wrens and even a gannet diving for fish. Andrew's knowledge of birds was amazing and the encouragement to take time in nature to listen and watch was soul soothing. Breakfast back at the Barn was enjoyed by all and some money was raised for The Rusty Bucket too. All in all a great start to the day. Time to go back to bed now!
